At the age of 21 Mike received his first major label record deal with his band Simon Says (Hollywood Records) and spent the next five years touring the world. He received a gold record for his contributions to the Varsity Blues soundtrack and has appeared on The Late Show With Dave Letterman as well as on MTV’s Fashionably Loud. He has also toured with Filter and currently runs the educational website www.mikeslessons.com where he offers pre-recorded video drum lessons as well as live online drum lessons nationally and internationally.

Jason Bittner Meet & Greet

Jason Bittner is one of the top metal drummers in America, consistently winning readers’ polls in drumming magazines from around thre world. After honing his technique and musicianship at Boston’s Berklee College Of Music in 1988, he set out to establish himself as a professional drummer. His big break came in 2002 when he got the gig with Shawdows Fall, with whom he has toured the world and released eight albums. Bittner began to establish himself as a clinician in 2005, and has maintained a busy schedule playing drumming festivals and clinics. He has released an instructional DVD entitled What Drives the BeatDrumming Out of The Shadows, co-authored by Joe Bergamini.

The world’s longest running vintage and custom drum show will feature two rooms of exhibits featuring collectible drums. Confirmed clinicians include Fred Young, John Fred Young, Mike Clark, Les DeMerle, and Ed Shaughnessy. There will also be a panel discussion on dating Gretsch drums, moderated by Rick Gier, the author of a well-received serial number dating guide for round badge Gretsch drums, and a presentation by Bernie Stone of Stone Custom Drum, explaining how he acquired and renovated the Slingerland shell-making equipment, as well as a a tribute to Dennis Stauffer of Phattie Drums, who died in a car crash January 18th, 2012.
