Buddy Rich Memorial DVD Released

Drum Channel recently released a DVD of the entire 2008 Buddy Rich Memorial Concert. The concert took place in New York on October 18. For more than three hours, an all-star band led by legendary drum teacher Tommy Igoe played rock and jazz arrangements selected by a diverse group of drummers including Neil Peart, Peter Erskine, Terry Bozzio, Chad Smith, John Blackwell, and Nick Rich, Buddy's grandson.

The event was co-sponsored by Drum Channel and streamed live on the Internet. The DVD is a 3-disc box set with over 2 hours of concert footage and 2 hours of rehearsal and backstage footage. This slide show of the event was put together from photos taken by DRUM! associate editor Dave Constantin and drum builder Ronn Dunnett.
