All of them went to the Caribbean and there, they took congas drum lessons. Do anybody remember which were and which was the Caribbean county?. Gerry Zaragemca

Home Made Cajons anyone?

I’ve built a few Cajons over the past few years with pretty good results. Has anyone else attempted this? They are fairly easy to make with a table saw and a Saturday afternoon.

I was also wondering if anyone has any experience with more exotic woods for Cajons? I’ve used maple and cedar in the past but am thinking about trying something new for my next one.

I’ve always felt that tabla was the most demanding discipline of all hand percussion instruments. I’d would like to hear what you think. What are the most demanding hand drumming techniques to master?
