Yes I’m posting this.

Just Bieber. 2010 VMA performance. Bad lip synching aside. Any thoughts on his drum performance generating more interest from kids to play drums?

Girls maybe, but I don’t know how many boys are “into”  him.  He was really nervous behind the kit, hence, the stick drop. But he ended well, so kudos to him.

A good drummer will sound good on anything. A Bad drummer will sound bad on anything.

I also saw Justin’s performance on the VMA’s.

The stick dropping - well, that happens to everyone, so that’s a wash.  But this was not his best solo.

He was on the Oprah Winfrey show not too long ago, and the solo he did there was very good.  He even did the double handed crossover fill, a la Neil Peart (I believe Justin’s also from Canada, eh?).

On the VMA’s, I think he was just nervous.  Gotta give him props, his drumming is not too shabby.  grin
