1972: Hayman 5-piece in a Metallic Blue finish
1974: Sonor 4-piece in a Blue wrap finish
1976: Sonor 5-piece in a White wrap finish
1981: Tama Superstar 4-piece in a Black Wrap finish

1994: D’Amico 4-piece in a Red Sparkle finish
2002: Yamaha Club Jordan Cocktail kit in a Silver Sparkle finish

2003: Yamaha Al Foster Hip Gig Kit in a Jaguar Pattern wrap

Wow. 13 kits. Sounds unlucky to me! I’d better buy a new drum kit!

I’ve never heard of Shiro or Wesper. Are they European brands?

I just bought my first set this year. Gretch Catalina Maple - Rudy Fade

I have an old Ludwig 20” bass and 13” tom in my attic - Cherry sparkle. I plan on restoring them and getting a new custom floor tom and snare to compliment them.

Almost finished restoring an ‘84 Reuther snare. Just need to sand and stain it for the final coat and put everything together. BTW I still need new snare wires for the Reuther, what kind do you suggest?

So much to list- I’ll make it simple:
I have a ‘68 Slingerland double bass set w/22” ers and 12, 13 and 14 rack single headed toms with 2 16” floors recovered (unfortunately by me) in turned aluminum- probably bad for the value but look cool
-/ an electronic 5 piece Gretsch set,
-/ a small Yamaha club set w20” bass 10 and 12 racks, 14” floor in white pearl
-/my main set of Ludwigs with 26” bass, 13 rack, 16 and 18 floors in white marine pearl

Lotsa cymbals but mainly Zildjian: 21 Ping and 21 A Sweet rides, 13, 16, 18 thin crashes, 18EFX, 18 China,8 and 10 splashes, 14” Rezo and New Beat Hats,.....etc.  I’ve got a bunch and switch them up depending on gig….

A BUNCH of snares by Slingerland, Ludwig, DW, Pdp and Yamaha….  6, 8 , 10 and 12 Roto Toms, timbales, conga and many hand drums…. 5 homemade tube style Octobans in 6”  and Ludwig, Yamaha, Pearl and Gibralter hardware

AND MY LATEST just purchased: The LUDWIG Amber Vistalite Zeppelin reissue w/ 26"bass, 14” rack, 16” and 18” floors and I just LOVE this set! ( If anyone has any tuning tricks for the acrylics let me know- )the bass is tremendous but the floors have a little bit of a (weird) metallic sounding ring- not bad but of course not like my birch shells. I think I just need to tune up resonants a bit. I want a deep slightly resonant rock tonality without too many overtones but NOT flat. Thus far I have no dampening and they are VERY live yet still punchy. I think this is the set I will gig with alternating w/other Ludwigs as I like the larger sizes for the stuff we play…

1) A 7 piece Ludwig Custom Accent (Red Wine Lacquer) (first kit I owned)
2) A 6 piece Mapex Saturn (Green Apple Burst Lacquer)

And too many Pearl kits to list but, here’s a few ...

3) 8 piece Pearl Reference Series (#193 Purple Craze Lacquer)
4) 9 piece Pearl SMX Session Custom Maple Double Bass (#296 Green Burst Lacquer)
5) 6 piece Pearl BRX Birch Masters Studio Double Bass (#168 Ocean Sparkle Lacquer)
6) 6 piece Pearl MSX Masters RetroSpec (#403 Red Onyx Delmar Wrap)
7) 6 piece Pearl BSX Birch Masters Studio (#406 Bronze Glass Delmar Wrap)
8) 8 piece Pearl ELX Series Double Bass (#297 Green Fade Lacquer)
9) 6 piece Pearl VLX Vision Series (#230 Clear Birch Lacquer)
10) 5 piece Pearl SMX Session Custom Maple (#??? Marine Blue Fade)
11) 6 piece Pearl ELX Series (#29? Red Something Fade) ... (I’ll get the official color numbers listed here).

That might be it but, I’ve had so many kits now, over the years, I’m not sure if I’m forgetting anything or not. Have had as many as 6 kits at one time but now, down to just my 9 piece SMX Session Custom Maple double bass set up.

Cheers ... Bill
