The very first snare drum that I owned was a 14x5.5, and while I’ve always lusted for depths of 3.5 and less; it wasn’rt until recently that I have been lucky enough to get a Sonor Jungle’s extreme depth of 10x2.
About a year back, though, I was fortunate enough to receive a Tempus Fiberglass in 14x6.5; and let’s say I’ve been hooked ever since; particularly the two pitches between the Jungle and the Tempus (which is in vintage blue sparkle). So much so that the Pork Pie 12x5 Little Squealer that I took great pains to procure has hardly been used since 2010.
