Anybody want to guess who’ll be the next drummer with Avenged Sevenfold? How about the next drummer with Dream Theater? Mars Volta?

your guess for A7X is as good as mine. But it’s gonna be someone awesome to be able to fill the shoes of Jimmy Sullivan-RIP and Mike Portnoy.

Great call — they both would fit right in.

I read somewhere that Mike Mangini would take Mike Portnoy’s place.
But Mike Mangini’s site is not up to date and on the Dream Theater site i can’t find anything.
So far i’ve heard and read only rumours, but i think Mike Mangini is a very good option.
And what about Marco Minnemann? He’s also mentioned….
I hope DT will make the announcement soon….

Word on the street is Portnoy was costing A7X too much $$$ and he had his own bus on tour…

I was told Aquiles Priester may be in line for the Dream Theatre gig, but Marco Minnemann just did a gig with Jordan Rudess… interesting…..

OKAY, Hows This?
I heard they’re going in a complete different direction, so, (wait for it) Dream Theater’s new drummer…. “Phil Rudd”.

Hahaha, Phil Rudd….????
Nice drummer, nice guy too so i’ve heard, but that would be the end of DT as we know it…..
No, don’t ever let him leave AC/DC again! He belongs there, not somewhere else.
I had never heard of Aquiles Priester, but just looked him up on Google; turns out he’s the drummer in Angra.
Didn’t know that, but he sure knows how to play.
Well….., all i can do is wait for the announcement by DT.
(have to say though, i’m hoping for mangini wink .
