I recently resumed playing after 20-plus years and got an Alesis DM10 studio kit in the hopes that I could play in my apartment without disturbing my neighbors. Turns out they still make a bit too much noise. Is it possible to put mesh heads and triggers on an accoustic kick and/or toms to minimize the noise while using the Alesis module/brain/whatever? I love the sounds in the module, and plugging the ipod in and playing along with headphones on is awesome!

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks,
James

Yes it is. There are plenty of companies that sell mesh heads, and you have quite a bit of triggers from different brands to choose from. Just Google it and I’m sure you will find a combo that works.
