Hey guys,

I don’t know why, but snare and bass drum wraps have a couple “bubbles.” I think it could be from carting them in warm/cold weather. If you have had this problem what did you do to fix it?

Hi steve- if you can carefully peel the wrap back without damaging it, another coat of contact cement will reseal it. You have to remove hardware of course. Wait long enough to get a good bond on the cement- read instructions…. Some (cheaper) companies only tape on the wrap, thus causing the bubbles later on… If , however it is old and cracks, you need to recover. There are many good companies that stock the wraps and I have done many rewraps in the past. It is not so difficult that you should worry- in fact it usually spiffs up the set very nicely and you can get ‘the look’ you are really after. Good luck!
