Tape, dips, wax, nude finish, painted finish, anti vibe…
There were quite a few drum stick companies at the Chicago show, as well as drum stick accessories.  This made me wonder what’s a gimmick & what’s for real.
Let me know what you use, what you’ve tried, what works & what’s a waste of $

I use regular finish hickory sticks and a towel to wipe sweat. No wax or grip stuff, tape, etc. at all.

I use Ahead grip tape, my hands tend to stay dry when I play and I have a real loose grip, so if I don’t have a little extra something I’ll drop sticks left and right

I’m with Rev.D. on this one. The only time I drop sticks is when I’m playing someone elses kit and catch the stick on a cybal on an upstroke.

I tape my sticks with Hockey Shin Pad tape, its not SUPER grippy, but it adds that little bit of slick (yes I meant slick) grip the I love, but my sticks lack.
