After all these years…

It happened…. I haven’t cracked a cymbal in 30 years…. and the other night my 16” (vintage) Zildjian A split right in the curve of the bell…. swearing was heard… Don’t know if it was just fatigue in the metal or because sometimes I get excited…. but it is gone :(

I can certainly empathize w/ you, gbond!
I’ve cracked a few cymbals in my time, as well. It’s never a fun moment, especially when it’s a cymbal that you cherish.
I am sorry to read this & hope that you can find an adaquate replacment for your vintage Zildjian A !
