After using the same drumhead brand and model for more than a decade, I suddenly noticed that certain characteristics had changed for the worse. They became pitted much more easily and began to lose their signature roundness and resonance quicker. I then learned through the grapevine that the company had changed something about its formula or process, which sent me on a hunt for new heads. I’m still experimenting with different brands and models, but wonder if anyone else out there may have had a similar experience.
