We just posted an article about drums made during World War II, such as Slingerland Rolling Bombers, the Ludwig Victory, Leedy Dreadnought, Gretsch Defender, and WFL Victorious models. Since the government restricted metal usage in non-war manufacturing to 10 percent, these drums were fitted with lugs, hoops, and throw-offs made of wood. You can check out the entire article here.
Do any of you own any of these collectible drums? Please post a photo if you have one.
