I was playing Vdrums at a Christmas concert over the weekend.  About 4 songs into it, the power goes out.  Apparently the light guy plugged into the same circuit as the sound board.  We were on the chorus, and the singers kept going mic-less.  When they finished the chorus, the crowd applauded politely. 

Within 30 seconds the light guy had the power back on.  I laid down a fill & we were right back into the chorus, then the outro.  I was surprised how well the band followed me back in.

Needless to say, there wasn’t much of a light show after that, and the volume was kept in check.

It does happen, and could have been worse. Sounds like a good save. Be thankful this gig didn’t occur in Connecticut a couple of weeks ago. Those 30 seconds pale in comparison to 691,200 seconds. (If my math is right.)

It was a surprisingly good save.
I don’t think the crowd would have stayed if the outage lasted 600,000 seconds.
