Hey guys! I’m looking into getting a new drum kit and had a couple of questions to throw out to extreme metal drummers. I play in a thrash/grind band and speed is obviously a huge part of my playing. I currently play 13”, 16”, 22” shells. I’ve always been a huge fan of bigger, lower end drums, but I’m wondering if it’s worth downsizing my rack tom to a 12” to go faster? On the opposite end, is it worth getting a 24” kick drum for a bigger bass sound or will that slow my feet down?

The second question, have any of you played full titanium kits? I’ve read that they are louder then wood but have great warmth. Can anyone speak to that? I haven’t played any yet but I’m looking into it.

Thanks for any insight..
