Yamaha Recording Custom Kit Owned By Joshua Berros

By Chris Williams Published August 3, 2010

Perhaps one of the first things you’ll notice about Joshua Berro’s Yamaha Recording Custom kit is that he positions the hi-hat in the center, where most drummers have a mounted tom. Is he taking a page out of the Bill Bruford book of setup choices? "It feels very natural. I highly recommend it," he says. Hey, whatever works.

Here’s a rundown of his unusual setup:

  • 22" bass drum
  • 14" x 3.5" Sonor snare drum
  • 10" x 5" Pacific snare drum

  • 20" custom ride
  • 17" K dark crash
  • 17" k china
  • 14" oriental
