Ludwig & Ludwig Deluxe New-Era Sensitive Model

The New-Era Sensitive Model was a very short-lived snare drum. The “revolutionary design” of having two internal Sensitive mechanisms — one under the top head and one on top of the bottom head — never caught on, and therefore this model didn’t set the drumming community on fire. That, and the stock market crash of 1929, probably contributed to its lack of popularity. As of this printing there are only three known examples of these Deluxe New Era Sensitive models in existence. The engraving pattern on this drum is the ten-point flat-top double-leaf floral pattern that was only seen in 1929.
