New & Improved ArticuLite Marching Snare from Pearl

Articulate on the ArticuLite

By Andrew Lentz Published November 30, 2009

The Championship ArticuLite Series Snare Drum from — that drum corps staple from Pearl — has undergone a complete overhaul.

As announced at this year's PASIC, the new and improved FFX1410/A now features 6 Ply maple shells for strength, projection and richness of sound. Significantly, a reduced shell depth enhances focus and eliminates overtone.

As any marching band member will tell you, weight is a key factor. The drum's light weight improves mobility. Aluminum alloy edge ring and rims off a resilient, tonally-pleasing surface for rim clicks without adding additional weight. Includes same high-durability hardware strainer as the standard FFX Series and 100 percent Maple SST Shell Technology.
