Gaze out a window at Sonor’s factory in Bad Berleburg-Aue, Germany. What do you see? A forest of beech trees that the company has long harvested to create fine beech shells. Now they’ve upped the ante with the new custom Beech Infinite series. With shells handcrafted using Sonor’s very own CLTF “Cross Laminated Tension Free” process and all lugs equipped with TuneSafe for maximum tuning stability, this limited run unites state of the art quality, craftsmanship, sound, and a compelling new lacquering process that has never before been used to finish drums. The special “SoftTouch” paint results in a striking, unique, velvet-like shell surface in Piano Black Soft Touch and Crème Lacquer Soft Touch finishes. The shell pack comes with a 22" x 20" virgin bass drum, 14" x 6" snare, shallow 10" x 7" and 12" x 8" mounted toms, and floor toms in 14" x 12" and 16" x 14" that enhance definition and attack. So life’s a beech after all. We couldn’t be happier about it.
