Nobel & Cooley NAMM 2011

We were genuinely surprised to see Noble & Cooley at the 2011 NAMM Show. The company that helped spearhead the custom drum explosion of the past 20 years was a regular fixture at every NAMM Show until eight years ago, when they simply stopped exhibiting. And even though N&C continued to build its brand of elegant drums, it seemed as if everything else about the brand went quiet. No ads. No product reviews. No news. No new models to speak of. But their reason for returning to NAMM this year is the company’s very cool new tom mount — appropriately named The Cool Mount — which employs no screws or clamps, and allows drummers to mount and remove their toms the blink of an eye.
