What This Privacy Policy Covers

This policy covers how DRUM! treats personal information that DRUM! collect and receives, including information related to your past use of DRUM! and Enter Music Publishing, Inc. products and services. Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address, email address, or phone number, and that is not otherwise publicly available.

This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that DRUM! does not own or control, or to people that DRUM! does not employ or manage such as third-party application providers or other sites or services.

Information Collection and Use

DRUM! generally collects personally identifiable information with your specific knowledge and consent. DRUM! collects personal information when you register with DRUM!, when you use DRUM! products or services, when you visit DRUM! pages or the pages of certain DRUM! partners, and when you enter promotions or sweepstakes. DRUM! may combine information about you that we have with information we obtain from business partners or other companies.

When you register on our web site or subscribe to one of our services we ask only for your email address and age. This is to protect the other members on the site as well as to communicate with you and to comply with Federal Law regarding children under age 13. For some contests, promotions or subscription services we may also ask for your address.

DRUM! collects normal web site information about traffic, usage, as well as any information about personal transactions with us. DRUM! automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, DRUM! cookie information, and the page you request. (See Cookies).

DRUM! respects the privacy of personal files in member's computers and does not access, read, upload or store data contained in or derived from private files without the member's authorization. DRUM! may from time to time record information about your computer, browser type and version number, and operating system software (but no other software). DRUM! to analyze how current site features may operate on different types of equipment in order to improve performance.

DRUM! may contain links to other sites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy policies of other sites.

DRUM! uses information for the following general purposes: to customize the advertising and content you see, fulfill your requests for products and services, improve our services, contact you, conduct research, and provide anonymous reporting for internal and external clients.

If you choose to access, visit and/or use any third party social networking service(s) that may be integrated with DRUM! we may receive personally identifiable information and other information about you and your computer, mobile or other device that you have made available to those services, including information about your contacts on those services. Some social networking services will facilitate your registration for our offerings. Your decision to use a social networking service in connection with DRUM! Magazine is voluntary. However, you should make sure you are comfortable with the information your third party social networking services may make available to us by visiting those services' privacy policies and/or modifying your privacy settings directly with those services. We reserve the right to use, transfer, assign, sell, share, and provide access to all personally identifiable information and other information about you and your computer, mobile or other device that we receive through third-party social networking services in the same ways described in this Agreement as all of your other information. Where applicable laws apply, you will be given the right to opt out of sharing personal information.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

DRUM! does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or nonaffiliated companies except to provide products or services you’ve requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances: We are engaged in co-marketing with other companies in the music industry, mailing to opt-in lists, responding to user opt-in requests, or sending general information about drumming news and events to registered users of the site.

We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims;We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of DRUM! AND DRUMmagazine.com AND DRUMmagazine.com’s terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.

We transfer information about you if DRUM! is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, DRUM! will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

DRUM! does not provide any personal information to the advertiser when you interact with or view an ad. However, by interacting with or viewing an ad you are consenting to the possibility that the advertiser will make the assumption that you meet the targeting criteria used to display the ad.

Tracking

DRUM! may place and/or store code or other types of information and/or devices (e.g., "cookies") on your computer, mobile or other device ("Local Device Storage"). We may use Local Device Storage for any lawful business purpose, including without limitation to determine which of our messages have been opened by recipients so we can gauge the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, to control the display of ads, to track usage patterns, the movements of individual users, and your geographic location, to help diagnose problems with our servers, to gather broad demographic information, to analyze trends, to conduct research, to deliver editorial content, to record registration and personalization information, and to otherwise administer DRUM!. For example, if you register on any part of DRUM! and are given the option to save your user name and password, we may provide this convenience to you via Local Device Storage. Local Device Storage may also collect and store your personally identifiable information, which may be shared with our parent, subsidiaries, and affiliates and other companies.

Children

DRUM! will not contact children under age 13 about special offers or for marketing purposes without a parent’s permission.

DRUM! does not ask a child under age 13 for more personal information, as a condition of participation, than is reasonably necessary to participate in a given activity or promotion.
