BC Gigster Bass Drum Monitor At NAMM 2012

We dropped by the BC Gigster booth at the 2012 NAMM Show, where the company was showing off its new “tactile monitoring system” for bass drums. It works similarly to other drum throne shakers by converting the bass drum notes to vibrations that travel up the drummer’s spine to stimulate the bones in your inner ear, which produces the sound internally. Unlike other systems, in which a shaker is attached to the throne’s base, the BC Gigster’s transducer is housed inside the throne’s seat.
