Bosphorous Cymbals had a good showing at the 2013 Winter NAMM Show with some new and unusual models. We first checked out a couple prototype cymbals made with lots of input from Bosphorous endorser Ari Hoenig, who wanted a ride with loads of tip definition and minimal wash. Even more unusual were the new China Hi-Hats, which pairs a China-style cymbal with a more traditional model. Want a trashy sound? Mount the China on top. Or, when you want a more standard hi-hat sound, simply invert the pair. Pretty cool.
