It’s always a blast to visit with custom cymbalsmith Matt Nolan, one of the few one-man cymbal-making operations around. Matt’s always got some cool one-of-a-kind goodies to check out, including this year’s ghoulish skull gong. Considering the unusual look of his instruments, it’s always a bit of a surprise to discover exactly how sweet and sonorous they sound.
