Black Panther Drum Sets NAMM 2011

We first reported on Mapex’s new Black Panther drum set series in the Gear showcase category of drummagazine.com a couple weeks ago and were intrigued by the concept of a new drum set line that based upon an existing snare drum line. It’s a tad audacious, as if Ludwig announced a Black Beauty drum set. But after taking close look at the classy Blaster kit — the first in the semi-annual Black Panther series — I believe Mapex has taken a bold move to elevate its brand.
