Black Swan Percussion NAMM 2011

Another pre-NAMM discovery made while lurking around the showroom floor the day before the convention opened — Black Swan Drums are part cajon, part bass drum, and part hand drum, mounted on a sleek wooden frame. The highlight, though, is the instrument’s unusual hi-tech tuning system, which the user can access from the open back of the instrument, enabling the head to be mounted with clips rather than tension rods. Just wait until you see how quickly you can change a head.
