Atlanta Rhythm Section's Robert Nix Dies
Robert Nix, drummer and co-founder of the Atlanta Rhythm Section, died on Sunday of unknown causes. He was 67 years old.
From 1971 to 1979, Nix helped write and record nine ARS albums, including Champagne Jam, the band's hit platinum record.
He also drummed for heavyweights Lynard Skynyrd, the Allman Brothers and Ronnie Van Zant.
Nix left behind a wide and three children.
