Blink-182 has been working on the first album of new Blink material since 2003. Soundspike
reported today that the album has a July 31 deadline and that a single could be released any day. The album
material will be previewed by the band during the
2011 Honda Civic Tour with My Chemical Romance, beginning April 5. The tour will visit five cities. Despite the band members hectic schedules, with
each purusing solo careers, bassist Mark Hoppus said the group remains their number one priority. “Blink is our priority as a band, as people-it's what we've done since day one for almost 20 years
at this point.” Drummer Travis Barker has been out on the road this year in support of his album
Give The Drummer Some.
