Bun E. Carlos Stops Touring With Cheap Trick

First Bun E. Carlos quit chain-smoking cigarettes in the '90s. And as of last Friday, Cheap Trick’s management announced that he quit touring with the band. “Bun E. Carlos is not currently the touring drummer for Cheap Trick,” road manager Carla Dragotti wrote in an official statement. “Bun E. remains a bandmember. Everyone is healthy and Cheap Trick will continue to tour as planned.” Replacing the Cheap Trick veteran is Daxx Neilson, son of Cheap Trick guitar icon Rick Neilson, who will complete the ten dates remaining on the band’s schedule. Despite the reassurance that all is well, the hastiness of the move and lack of detail make the entire event rather mysterious. Hope all is well, Bun.
