Carter Beauford Hosts Obama Fundraiser
Earlier today Dave Matthews Band Drummer Carter Beauford hosted a fundraiser for the Barack Obama reelection campaign and the Democratic National Committee on his $4.5 million estate in Albemarle County, Virginia. The First Lady, Michelle Obama, delivered a 25-minute speech that outlined her husband’s work on health care, education, the economy, and foreign policy.
Tickets to the dinner and photo opportunity ranged from $1,500 to $35,800 per couple. “While the president has been fighting these fights, our amazing first lady has been right there by his side,” Beauford told the Chicago Sun Times.
