Chris Vrenna Leaves Marilyn Manson
Jack of all trades Chris Vrenna, best known for his titles as former drummer for Nine Inch Nails and current drummer and keyboardist for Marilyn Manson, has decided to leave the band to focus on his solo projects.
Vrenna wants to concentrate on his growing film and video game scoring, production career and DJ outings as well as working on his own band Tweaker’s 2012 release.
Vrenna has a Grammy under his belt as well as production and programming credits including Smashing Pumpkins, Guns'n'Roses and most recently work on Evanescence's self-titled 2011 album. He’s also a sought after remixer working on tracks by U2, Nelly Furtado, Rammstein, and Slipknot.
"I'm incredibly proud of the work I did with Manson and look forward to the release of Born Villain. I wish my brothers well but with the recording largely completed I felt it was time to return to other facets of my career which involves production work, film scoring, and future musical collaborations," Vrenna said.
