Evans has a lot to celebrate this year, including unprecedented success among its marching endorsees. Marching championship winners playing Evans include The Blue Devils, Aimachi, Jubal Drum and Bugle Corps, The Senators, Avon High School and Marcus High School!
This year, The Blue Devils went undefeated and soundly won their 13th DCI World Championship with a score of 99.05. Playing Evans’ Corps Clear Tenor Heads, MS1 White heads, the Hybrid Grey Snare batter and the MX5 Snare side, the corps won four of the five special caption awards which include the coveted Fred Sanford Percussion Trophy. The Blue Devils “B” corps dominated Open Class competition and matched the “A” corps accomplishments with a 1st place finish and percussion trophy.
The Senators recently took the Drum Corps United Kingdom, championships, known as The Home of British Drum Corps, while the DCE European Open Class Champions were won by Jubal/ Jong Jubal with a score of 90.15.
In addition, Avon HS won BOA’s Grand National Championships in Indianapolis, IN playing Evans’ Hybrid Grey, MX Frost, MX White bass drum heads, and Strata Orchestral and Timpani heads while Marcus HS took the PAS Marching Competition Champions on Evans’ Corps Clear Tenor heads, MX1 White heads, and Strata heads.
Evans Japanese artists Aimachi won the recent AJMBA, All Japan Marching Band Association, at Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo using G2 Coated heads, Strata 1000 Reverse dot Bass, Hybrid Grey Snare Batter, MX5 Snare Side.
