Ex-Oasis Drummer Publishes Scathing Tell-All Book

By Andy Doerschuk Published October 18, 2010

Apparently it’s the season of drummer tell-all books. Hot on the heels of Steven Adler’s My Appetite For Destruction: Sex & Drugs & Guns N’ Roses comes Oasis: The Truth by the Britpop band’s founding drummer Tony McCarroll. The book lays bare his now infamous feud with former Oasis guitarist and co-leader Noel Gallagher, which lead to McCarroll being fired in 1995.

“There’s a lot of things I need to put right,” McCarroll told the British rock magazine NME. “There is another side to the Oasis story which I think needs to be appreciated. Maybe even get other bandmembers recognized for once. It wasn’t all about one person.”
