Former Chairman Of Premier Drums Dies At 86

The former chairman of Premier Drums and son of company founder Albert Della-Porta, Clifford Della-Porta has died at the age of 86. He joined Premier as a 19-year-old in 1946 and with his engineering degree, established a design and development team that kept Premier on the cutting edge for decades. He went on to become Premier’s chairman and was instrumental in Premier becoming the first musical instrument company to win the Queen’s Award To Industry for exports.
