Founding Drummer Quits Soil — Replacement Announced

Alternative metal outfit Soil just took a double hit after word spread that founding drummer Tom Schofield and singer A. J. Cavalier had left the Chicago-based group. Schofiled, who helped form the band in 1997, leaked the news about Cavalier in July on the website Blabbermouth when he announced that the singer had taken an “indefinite hiatus” from the band. Now that it has become offical, the remaining members — guitarist Adam Zadel and bassist Tim King — wasted no time finding their replacements, ChainWax drummer Mike Tignino and former Silvergun singer Jordan Lee,
