Social media — it’s been the darling of the Internet ever since Facebook convinced everybody to share the most intimate minutiae of their everyday existence with hordes of people who they actually don’t know very well. You know, stuff like, “Hey, I just ate a peanut butter sandwich,” to which interested parties could possibly respond, “Chunky or creamy?” And as a result, our lives forever changed. So it was only a matter of time before a company in the percussion industry jumped into the fray with its own integrated social media site, and voila! — it’s Gretsch. And to be honest, the drum company’s new Gretsch Woodshed is pretty darned impressive, with a layout that accurately mimics the Facebook formula. Worth a look.
