Guinness Drumming Record Broken In UK

The Guinness World Record for the largest number of drummers playing kits at once was broken on July 15 during the Stick It To MS 2012 fundraiser. The massive percussion ensemble, totalling 798 drummers from the UK, Europe, and the U.S., assembled at the Event City exhibition hall in Manchester, England, to play together for five minutes, smashing the previous record of 582 drummers, not coincidentally set by Stick It To MS in 2009.

Event sponsor Natal Drums was instrumental in organizing the event, which is expected to raise in excess of £100,000 for The Multiple Sclerosis Society (£75,000 has already been raised).

As the event sponsor, Natal Drums was proud to be part of Stick It To MS 2012 which is ultimately expected to raise in excess of £100,000 (£75,000 raised already) for The Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society.

Many Natal artists took part in the world record including: Darrin Moony (Primal Scream), Andy Treacey (Faithless and Groove Armada) Sudha Kheterpal (Faithless), Russell Gilbrook (Uriah Heep), Swiss Chris (Snoop Dogg, John Legend, Independent), Steve Grantley (SLF), Robin Guy (G.M.T) plus other well known names such as Steve White (Paul Weller), Mike Joyce (The Smiths), and Pete Salisbury (The Verve).
