Remy Zero Reunites To Honor Late Drummer

By Andy Doerschuk Published September 14, 2010

The remaining members of Remy Zero will reunite to play four shows in October to honor the memory of their late drummer, Gregory Slay, who passed away on January 1 from cystic fibrosis. All proceeds will be donated to The Honeymoon Trust, a fund established for Slay’s widow, Tiana Krahn-Slay, and their daughter, Honeymoon Slay. The brief West Coast tour follows a May 22 reunion show in New Orleans, Slay’s birthplace, which was a tribute to their deceased drummer and the band’s first show in eight years. The upcoming shows will also feature a documentary of the band by Nina Parikh.

Here’s where the band will appear:

Oct 7: Dante’s, Portland, Oregon
Oct. 8: The Crocodile Café, Seattle, Washington
Oct. 11: Café Du Nord, San Francisco, California
Oct. 12: Spaceland, Los Angeles, California
