Drumming fans in the Great Lakes area are in for a special treat as Cascio Interstate Music, 13819 W. National Ave. in New Berlin hosts a free autograph session by former Smashing Pumpkins' drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, on Saturday, September 12th from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m.

Chamberlin remains one of the most talked about and influential drummers in rock music. A founding member of The Smashing Pumpkins, his powerful, sometimes over the top, yet always tasteful playing has been the driving force behind many of the band's biggest hits. Jimmy's own band is called Jimmy Chamberlin Complex.

Chamberlin appears as part of the Zildjian On Tour 2009 sales event. Zildjian is bringing in 50 one-of-a-kind Sound Lab prototype cymbals along with factory reps, as well as offering a free pair of sticks with any cymbal purchase.

In addition, Zildjian CEO Craigie Zildjian will be on-hand, the head of this 386 year-old family-owned company. Zildjian's history dates back to 1623, originating in Constantinople, Turkey, and has been officially recognized as the oldest continually family-owned business in America.

The day at Cascio will also feature hot dogs and sodas, giveaways, and live music with the DJ stylings of Alec Balge. Those planning to attend should arrive early for best possible seating and parking arrangements. For more information please call (262) 789-7600.
