Marky Ramone Leather Jacket At Auction

Drum paraphernalia collectors – there’s still time to place a bid at RR Auction for the black leather jacket worn onstage by Marky Ramone between 1978—’83.

Made by Real Leather and signed on the bank in gold ink by the drummer, the jacket understandably shows a bit of wear, hard earned by a long list of historic achievements, including the filming of Rock ’N’ Roll High School.

After being fired by the band in 1983 because of his increasingly disruptive alcoholism, Marky was forced to give back the jacket by the band’s late guitarist Johnny Ramone. We don’t know if he got it back when he returned in 1987.

At press time, bids for the jacket have reached $3,461. Bidding closes on January 26 at 7:00 p.m.
