Who knows why Max Weinberg is once again putting his Middletown, New Jersey estate on the market. Too much house, perhaps? Regardless of his reasons, after failing to attract any buyers when he last tried to sell it a year ago, Bruce Springsteen’s longtime drummer has since gotten approval from the town’s planning board to subdivide the sprawling estate and dropped the asking price by ten percent.
The listing includes an 8,900-square-foot home with six bedrooms, an in-law suite with a separate kitchen, a wine cellar with a dining room, a movie theater with a lobby concession stand, a guest house, and a state-of-the-art recording studio built into a barn.
It will take a mere $5.9 million to put yourself in the driver’s seat of this parcel. You might notice the staff members of DRUMmagazine.com aren’t exactly lining up to make bids. Well, at least not yet.
