Things happen in threes, right? In that case, we’ll keep our eyes peeled for a third veteran rock drummer to open a chi-chi restaurant in the near future.
After all, it was just a couple weeks ago when AC/DC legend Phil Rudd opened his new steakhouse, Phil’s Place, in his chosen homeland of New Zealand. Now Mick Fleetwood jumped on the bandwagon with the impending opening of Fleetwood’s in Lahaina, on the Hawaiian island of Maui.
The legendary Fleetwood Mac drummer promises fine food and drink, including his own Private Cellar wines, as well as a showcase for veteran and up-and-coming performers.
“I've always wanted to do this,” he told the Associated Press. “It's petrifying and exciting and fulfilling … It's not a museum for Mick Fleetwood. This is a real working restaurant.”
So I suppose that means we won’t be seeing Fleetwood Mac & Cheese on the menu when the restuarant opens next year.
