Aaron Fagan, drummer with the popular UK hip-hop outfit N-Dubz, has been convicted of sexually assaulting a 20-year-old and her 19-year-old friend in Glasgow, Scotland.
The incident happened shortly after the band accepted trophies for best album and best UK act at the 2009 Mobo Awards — the first European awards to celebrate urban music — which took place at the Strathclyde University Students Union.
After the verdict had been read, Fagan announced outside the Sherriff Court Of Glasgow that he had been “convicted with no facts” by “a white jury.” In fact, there was no jury — the case was decided by Sheriff Joanna Johnston. Sentencing will take place next month. In the meantime, Fagan has been placed on a sex offenders list.
