New Decapitated Drummer

Decapitated Finds A New Drummer Following Tragic Death Of Witold “Vitek” Kieltyka

By Andy Doerschuk Published July 31, 2009

The members of Polish death metallers Decapitated took their time looking for a new drummer after their former sticksman, Witold “Vitek” Kieltyka, died at the age of 23 on November 2, 2007, when the band's tour bus collided with a truck on the Russian/Belarus border. The band recently announced that Austrian Kerim “Krimh” Lechner, formerly of Thorns Of Ivy (pictured on the left), won the drum chair. And even though it remains unclear at press time whether Decapitated singer Adrian “Covan” Kowanek – who was injured in the same crash -- will be able to rejoin the band, Vitek's brother, guitarist Waclaw “Vogg” Kieltyka, is now actively putting Decapitated back together.
