A new poster has been released for the biopic of CBGB club founder, Hilly Kristal, featuring Foo Fighters' very own Taylor Hawkins. The band's drummer plays Iggy Pop in the movie, scheduled to come out this year.
According to Rolling Stone, the movie recounts the tale of how Kristal opened his doors to bands like the Ramones, the Patti Smith Group, and Talking Heads. Director Randy Miller told RS: "It is a story of Hilly and how he basically was the catalyst for this gigantic, sea-changing music. And he didn't set out to do that initially, but he became sort of the godfather of punk and underground rock." So wait until it's out to form an opinion on it, you jaded punks."
