Radiohead Drum Tech Killed Onstage In Toronto

Radiohead drum technician Scott Johnson was killed when rigging crashed down upon the stage around 4:00 p.m. before a sold-out concert in Toronto on Saturday. Johnson, in his thirties, was trapped under the wreckage until he was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other crewmen were injured.

The band posted a message about the tragic incident on its website: “We have all been shattered by the loss of Scott Johnson, our friend and colleague. He was a lovely man, always positive, supportive and funny; a highly skilled and valued member of our great road crew. We will miss him very much. Our thoughts and love are with Scott's family and all those close to him.”
