Tim Ferriss Rehearse Five Days, Then Gigs With Foreigner

Ferriss and Copeland

To get a big gig on the main stage with a major band requires decades of practice and learning. But Tim Ferriss, author of such books as The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich (Expanded and Updated), wanted to shorten it. His goal: To rehearse for five days and then play with Foreigner.

He signed up Stewart Copeland to teach him the basics of rock drumming so he could play one song live and not embarass himself. And this video is the result. Look for some hilarious moments with Copeland, particularly around 14:00. Oh, and if you're planning on really making it as a drummer, you're still going to have to practice for decades.
