Former Genesis singer and drummer Phil Collins had to be helped out of the Mojo Awards in London last weekend, as the painful nerve damage that scuttled his drumming career flared up during the ceremony. The 60-year-old Collins was on hand to present an Icon Award to none other than Beatles drummer Ringo Starr, but was forced to leave before he had the chance to do so.
It has been reported that Collins’ condition is the result of many years spent playing drums with improper posture, which crushed his spinal cord.
Rock News Desk reports that before leaving the event Collins said: “I actually don’t like music that much. I don’t really listen to music.”
