In an obviously heartwearming book, The Doors drummer John Densmore has plans to reveal all the dirty details of his longtime feud with bandmates Robby Krieger and Ray Manzarek. The Doors: Unhinged - Jim Morrisson's Legacy Goes on Trial is sure to be a joyous tale, exposing the legal spats between the existing band members.
Ever since Densmore kept Krieger and Manzarek from touring as The Doors of the 21st Century ten years ago, the dudes have been nothing short of arch nemeses. The duo now goes by the name Riders on the Storm (the title of The Doors 1971 hit).
Densmore also famously turned down a $15 million offer from bosses at car giants Cadillac for the use of The Doors music in 2002. Explaining this decision in a tweet last month, Densmore said: "Been thinking of Jim today, and how he said he would smash a Buick with a sledgehammer on TV if we did Come On Buick Light My Fire."
Meanwhile, Krieger and Manzarek have confirmed they will be performing at the Fly Music Festival in India next month.
It's 'bout to get real.
