The Standells' Dick Dodd Passes Away

Former Mouseketeer-turned-rock-star Dick Dodd passed away last Friday at the age of 68. The drummer and singer was in stage 4 cancer of the esophagus, spleen, liver and spine.

Dodd recorded the sports anthem "Dirty Water" with The Standells and 1960s hit instrumental "Mr. Moto" with the Bel-Airs.

He joined America's popular TV show The Mickey Mouse Club in 1955, aged nine, and, as a member of The Standells, he appeared in Riot on Sunset Strip and Get Yourself a College Girl.
